ARMENIAN CHAMPIONS SIGN UP NIGERIA STRIKER

Pyunik of Armenia who won the league in the country have added bite to their attack with the signing of 21 year old Nigerian Jeremiah John ahead of their campaign in the UEFA champions league qualifiers.

The club announced on their official social account that John Jeremiah signed a contract with the club officially but failed to give details about the worth and duration of the deal.

He has in previous seasons turned out for Mika,Gagra and Zestafoni and last season in the same league he scored twice in 6 games and after a short trial match against Alashkert where he scored one goal and put up an all round impressive display he was snapped up by the team.

Last night Pyunik recorded their first UEFA Champions League victory since July 2007, although their place in the second qualifying round is far from secure after José Hirsch's 71st-minute reply for ten-man Folgore.
