Head coach of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria Manu Garba says two goal hero Saviour Godwin can do more and backed him to be a big star in the future.
Saviour scored Nigeria first two goals in their 4-0 win over Korea DPR in his first start after his substitute appearance against Brazil in the opening game and Manu feels he is yet to play to his full capacity.
"I don't think he played his best in the match against North Korea because i know what he is capable off, I honestly will tell you to expect more from Saviour Godwin, this is just the beiginning" He told Mowizsoccer.
The Plateau United ace was a bit part player in Manu Garba Under-17 team that won the World youth championship two years ago and was subsequently kept out of the Under-20 team but the 18 year old resurfaced with the Nigeria Under-23 team after impressing Coach Samson Siasia when he came for trials.
His fine form was spotted by Manu Garba when the Under-20 were preparing for the Super 4 tournament ahead of the Africa Youth Championship and the coach was willing to give him another chance with his teammates who have all moved to the Under-20.
However it was too late for him to be included in the team for the AYC hence the coach pencilled him down for world youth championship duties where his fine form forced the coaches to drop their forward of the past two years at Under-20 level Ibrahim Alhassan.
