Italian Serie A runner up AS Roma are the latest side to be linked with a bid for the services of Carpi's Nigeria forward Jerry Uche Mbakogu.
The 22 year old scored 15 goals despite an injury interrupted season in the Serie B and helped his team gain promotion to the Serie A leading to a scrammble for his services in the winter.
Russian side Kuban Krasnordar failed with a bid for his signature and according to several sports news outlet in Italy, a host of Serie A sides are also weighing up a bid for him.

According to the report manager Rudi Garcia wants him as an alternative to January acquisition Seydou Doumbia who has so far failed to settle down since his move.
