AS Trencin playmaker Rabiu Ibrahim who recently made his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria says he is focus on helping Trencin qualify for the group stages of the UEFA champions league and not on leaving the team.
Rabiu played a big role in helping Trencin do the double in Slovenia and after his debut with the Nigeria senior national team the former Sporting Lisbon,PSV, Celtics and Kilmanorck player has been heavily linked with a move away from the team.
However close sources to the player insist he might leave the team before the close of this transfer window if they crash out early from the champions league qualifiers or in the winter of 2016 if they fail to reach the group stages.
The 24 year old Rabiu denies such reports and while maintaining his gratitude to the team for helping him rediscover himself,he insist his focus is on helping the team do well in the UEFA champions league qualifiers.
"As for now am not going anyway,am focus on AS Trencin but football is funny, one minute you are here, the next minute you are gone" He told Mowizsoccer.
"I am looking up to our campaign in the UEFA champions league and hopefully we will make it to the group stage, for now that is my only concern".
