Former Kano Pillars midfield ace Shehu Abdullahi has joined Portuguese latest top flight team Uniao da Madeira from Qatari side Qadsia Sports Club.
The 22 year old who starred for Nigeria at the last Under-20 World Youth Championship in Turkey according to the team signed a two year deal set to run out in the summer of 2017.
Comfortable either as a right full back or defensive midfielder he also played a part for the Nigeria home based side that went on to win the Bronze medal at the CHAN championship in South Africa.
Listed in Nigeria preliminary world cup squad, he failed to make the cut for the World cup but with his move to the Portuguese top flight,the former Sokoto United man will be hoping it improves his chances of earning a recall to the Nigeria team.
